Joshua Slade on the radio!

We are putting together the finishing touches from the Trial of Joshua Slade and this will be broadcast next Monday, the 26th May on Huntingdon Community Radio at 7 o’clock. This is a great opportunity for those who were unable to fit into the crowded court room on the day to hear what happened in our town nearly 200 years ago!

It can be heard locally by tuning in to 104fm or online over at the HCR website.

Here is the trailer the radio station prepared advertising it!

  1. Hi Grace,

The original piece was written and researched by local historian Richard Meredith, you can contact him by emailing richardmeredith1@hotmail.co.uk .

For staging purposes Beryl Anne Whitehead made some modifications to this to help make it a little more suitable for stage as well as additions from her own research at the national library in London, you can contact her by emailing beryldom@yahoo.co.uk

Finally the radio editing took place after being recorded live in the court setting by myself at Huntingdon Community Radio. You can contact me by email as ray.livermore@hcrfm.co.uk

There’s all the details on the piece for you, I hope you’re able to find the answers you are after!

    Ray
